Featured in this update : Sugar Gliders
These nocturnal marsupials are from the Possum family.? Only 5 to 7 inches in length, they generally weigh 3 to 4 ounces and can live up to 15 years.
IMPORTANT FACTS AND TIPS:
  1. Should be weaned at 7 to 8 weeks of age. 2. A large portion of their diet should be sweet fruits, vegetables and juices offered to them early in the evening. Round out their diet with Parrot Pellets, cat food, egg yolk, low fat, yougurt, cottage cheese, seeds and beans.

3. They may require a supplement containing Vitamin E, selenium, calcium and phosphates. Try a good bird or exotic vitamin supplement.

4. They thrive well at temperatures of 75 to 85 degrees & normal humidity is ideal. If humidity is too low, their ears may become dry and tend to curl.

5. A large enclosure minimum 20-24 inches wide and 48 inches high is required with several branches, ropes and platforms etc.

6. Sugar Gliders can be trained to sit or come on to your shoulder.

7. If you cannot offer this pet a lot of time, consider buying a pair of them.
